Fiona Update

I just put Fiona in the car with Jim to go to her new house. I'm emotionally ruined over the whole thing but I know both she and Jim will be better off now. She's going to live with the retired parents of one of Jim's colleagues and they will love on her all the time, I know.
I spent her last night here with her, camped out on the futon in the spare bedroom.
Damn, I'm gonna miss that girl.
Update: Jim just called. Miss Fiona seems to be liking her new home. The people are really nice and she's poking around, getting to know everything. Thank God.

Worry not friend, that Fiona be adaptable to change! I'm sure we'll have a beverage or two to take your mind off of it this weekend!

Am I allowed to have a little discomfort about your team playing my old team this weekend? I did live in Cleveland one time. Nah - I'm adaptable to change too.

I'll be in Boston in ~8 hours friends! Prepare yourselves!

Down the road should you decide to get a dog for the love of all that is holy it cannot be a chinese crested? even though jim would look precious carrying around a little hairless dog.

With the name of your blog i am certainly glad you didn't move to cleveland...

I am so sd for you as I have had to move many, many beloved pets on to other homes over the years and I would like to tell it gets easier, but it doesn't. You know, with Laura working so close to home, you would have a chance to go home at noon to play with a little dog but I agree with yesiamahooker, no Chinese crested, no Newfie. . .may I suggest a nice miniature daschund or Scottish terrier?!

Hopefully it will be some consolation knowing that Miss Fiona will be enriching another family's life as she did yours. I know that the hole left in your heart by her departure will soon be partially filled by another love, and the memories of your time with Fiona will fill any remaining void.

Miss Fiona is and always will be a sweetie pie, but you should ask for visits now and then. but wait awhile!

and here is hoping Jim is tending to you, because if it was me giving up one of mine I'd be all estrongeny for days.

Oh sister, Miss Fiona will be just fine. Animals are much more adaptable than humans to change...........
