I imagine y'all will get sick of these posts eventually
We're going to Fenway again today!
Weather is gorgeous - spoda be in the 60's.
This is the get-away game of a inter-league play series with the lowly Milwaukee Brewers and the Sox are looking to play their way back into the top of the AL East. (What is WITH Tampa Bay this year? And why aren' they the "devil" rays anymore? Do you think some right-wingers down there in Florida got themselves into a tizzy and made the team remove Satan from the name? Paging Ned Flanders!)
At any rate, the Brewers got a little feisty last night and the Sox had to come back from 6-5 to win.
Josh Beckett is pitching and I'd love nothing more than to see him back to post-season 2007 form.
I'll try and update from the game. Don't forget the #end!

Barcamp boston rocks
It's called a "camp" or "camping". A short conference, in this case a bit underground. Who's presenting? What are the topics? Who will be there? No one can answer these questions until the day of... and that's the beauty of it. It is a self-organizing, community-focused, and user-run mini-conference.
After orientation, everyone goes to the board on the wall where there is a big spreadsheet tacked up. It has rooms as columns and times as rows. If you have a good idea, or want to talk about something, you write it on a stick-note or an index card and put it on a time slot and room assignment. You go to the ones you want to go to.
Most of the sessions are not "talks" with a speaker going through powerpoint slides for 30 minutes, but rather a guided group discussion, where each member of the community is both student and teacher. Now that's a world I want to be a part of.
p.s. sorry 'bout the crooked pic

The Domestic Weekend
After last weekend's debauchery, I'm well pleased to be home, doing chores and other mundane tasks that life throws at me. Since spring has just about (finally!) sprung around here, I got a new duvet set. BKDM doesn't love it (my guess is that he finds it not "death-killer"-y enough), but I keep telling him that at least I didn't go for the one with the giant monkey on it. District, maybe your baby girl needs that. Back to my Prosecco and laundry.
Wait, you didn't think "chores" meant I'm not drinking, did you? Perish the thought.
